This is a slow cooker with a very low wattage. That means whilst it gets hot enough to perform, the power consumption is only 1kw for 8 hours use at 120w.
It is very handy for stews, 1 pot meals, slow cooked desserts and lots more.
Having tested this unit well, the lid is unvented so keeps in the moisture and the heavy removable ceramic dish is dishwasher safe yet also attractive enough to take centre place on a table after a hard days work.
Fish, meat and veg cook well here. Just don't overfill the dish, keep at least 10% free at the top for simmering or you may risk spillages.
Oh, for the price, this is outstanding value!
